Arthur Rinderknech, ranked 97th in the ATP and from qualifying, lost in the first round of the ATP 250 tournament in Adelaide on Tuesday. The French player lost to the Australian Christopher O’Connell (6-4, 6-4) who is ranked 71st in the world and benefits from a wild card.

Each time, a break at 3-3 allowed O’Connell to make the difference. In the second round, the latter will face the Russian Alexander Shevchenko.
