‘Anderlecht surprises with acquisition from amateur series’

Eight days before the end of the winter mercato, we are still waiting for the first signing for Anderlecht. The search for an extra central defender continues, but seems to be proving difficult. Filip Helander turned out to be too expensive, while the also mentioned Achraf Dari is moving to Spain, according to La Dernière Heure.

Anderlecht wants to shop at La Louvière

So there is still work to be done in the coming week for Sports CEO Jesper Fredberg, who now also seems to be working on other areas. According to Foot Market in Lotto Park, for example, they think of a very remarkable transfer.

They claim that Anderlecht would show interest in Vicky Kiankaulua, a 22-year-old wing attacker who plays for RAAL La Louvière. The Frenchman, who came over from Guingamp in the summer, is not even a regular in the first national team. So far he has made six starts and twelve substitute appearances, in which he scored three times.

Competition from Charleroi and Blackburn

Anderlecht could already see Kiankaulua at work from the front row this season, because he was in the starting line-up when the Purple & White visited Tivoli in the cup. It is possible that he came into the spotlight of Anderlecht there.

However, that is by no means the only candidate for Kiankaulua, who is out of contract with La Louvière after this season. Charleroi is also said to have an eye on the winger, while La Louvière has even received an offer from Blackburn Rovers from the English Championship.
