Amandine Henry is suspended for three matches, and may not play again with LOSC

Having barely arrived in the North, Amandine Henry could leave Lille after playing only two matches with the Mastiffs.

Engaged with her hometown club during the off-season of the NWSL, the American championship which she plays with Angel City FC, the international with 98 caps joined Losc on November 16. Bleues midfielder Amandine Henry may have already said goodbye to her adventure of a few months in Lille, being suspended three matches after a red card received in the championship, the northern club said on Friday.

But the 34-year-old was suspended for three matches after receiving a red card against Dijon (2-2) on January 20. It was only his second match with the club, after the big defeat against Paris Saint-Germain (6-0). This suspension compromises the chances of seeing Amandine Henry play again with the Mastiffs before returning to Les Bleues for the Nations League semi-final against Germany on February 23.

“She is suspended for three matches,” Losc confirmed to AFP. But if the players qualify for the French Cup this Sunday, she could play this last cup match with Losc. For this to happen, Lille would have to beat Marseillaise in the round of 16 on Sunday. Amandine Henry could then play one last time during this stint in the North before returning to the Blues, then the North American championship.

It will be suspended for the matches against Paris FC on February 4 then against Le Havre on February 10. Losc is penultimate in the championship with only seven points.
