Alianza Petrolera has been one of the most promising teams in recent editions of the Betplay League. The aurinegro team has managed to climb in recent times as it already plays continental tournaments such as the Copa Sudamericana.

Those from Barrancabermeja will play against América de Cali and the Daniel Villa Zapata stadium, where Alianza plays at home, does not meet Conmebol standards.

Given this, a rumor was unleashed of an offer from the Valledupar mayor’s office and a private company to the club to move to the capital of Cesar to play in the coming years.

Well, with this mentioned, in the last few hours, the president of the Aurinegra institution, Carlos Orlando Ferreira, confirmed several news about the team and there he spoke about the offer from Valledupar.

“There is an interest and I have an offer from the mayor’s office, the government and a private company in Valledupar to bring professional football there. But, for the moment, it is just an offer and nothing has been finalized,” he said. in dialogue with Gol Caracol.

For his part, the manager revealed the different reasons why the move to the world capital of vallenato would be considered, the first being the lack of support from the city of Barrancabermeja.

“The reasons why I would think and decide to leave would be the following: since 2017, we have sought help from the Barrancabermeja government and only on one occasion have we received it as sponsorship of the team,” he stated.

Likewise, another reason that the president names is the lack of sponsors: “There is no sponsor. No sponsor from the city of Barrancabermeja has ever supported the team. I lost the sponsorship of some companies because their manifestation was that the headquarters “It was not convenient with the interests they raised. Two sponsorships were lost precisely because of that,” Ferreira said.

The third important reason that the manager points out is the Daniel Villa Zapata stadium that does not comply with the Conmebol statute for the Sudamericana: “I have an international championship and I do not have an adequate stadium that meets the requirements that Conmebol asks of me to play the match. For nine years, the stadium was delivered in 2015; not a single maintenance has been done to the Barrancabermeja stadium.”

Finally, he regretted that all this is happening with the club and expressed his love for Barrancabermeja and the Aurinegros fans.

“Now, I deeply regret this. It hurts me because of the fans, because of the fans, because we receive support from them. ‘Barranca’ is my home, I love it, I adore it, but the only thing I can confirm is that there is an interest from the government, the mayor of Valledupar and the private company of Valledupar, but absolutely nothing has been signed and they have expressed an interest,” he concluded.
