(ANSA) – SAN-PEDRO, JAN 30 – Semifinalist in the World Cup, the first African national team to do so, just over a year ago, Morocco was eliminated from the Africa Cup of Nations. Bafana Bafana of South Africa beat Amrabat (sent off in the 49th minute) and his teammates, winning 2-0 with goals from Makgopa in the 12th minute and Mokoena in the 50th minute. In the 40th minute, at 1-0 for South Africa, Hakimi missed a penalty for Morocco.
So now the question is whether the coach of the fourth place in the World Cup, Walid Regragui, will keep faith with what he said before the start of the continental tournament, when he said that he would leave the position if his national team had not reached “at least the semi-finals”.
