Author of a delicate start to the season, Zion Williamson particularly generated criticism during his recent performance against the Lakers. Debates about his physique have resurfaced in particular and have been accompanied by discouraging information.

The hype that surrounded Zion Williamson upon his arrival in the NBA has indeed given way to a certain frustration. Zion Williamson’s poor work ethic has been a source of frustration for the Pelicans since they drafted him with their 1st pick in 2019. They tried to surround him with veterans with reputations for being able to maximize their potential. The team signed JJ Redick in 2019. In 2022, CJ McCollum arrived via trade. But none of this had any impact.
The Pelicans have repeatedly stressed to Williamson that his diet and fitness needs to improve. And according to several Times-Picayune sources, Williamson “isn’t listening.”
It would therefore be better for the 23-year-old big man to end up following the instructions of his coaches — but also cash advice from Shaquille O’Neal — under penalty of putting his career in great danger.
Constantly criticized by the Pelicans about his work ethic, Zion Williamson has still not decided to take it into account. An indiscretion that is necessarily worrying in view of its future, which is getting darker every day.
