Sofia Costoulas (WTA 296) won the ITF W25 Limassol tennis tournament on Sunday, played on hard court and worth $25,000, in Cyprus. In the final, the 18-year-old ranked 7th seed defeated the Italian Silvia Ambrosio (WTA 255/N.5), 6-1, 6-3 in 1 hour and 23 minutes.
This is the second time, in her short professional career, that Sofia Costoulas has lifted an ITF trophy at the W25 level in singles. She opened her account last May, with the clay court tournament in Feld am See in Austria.
In doubles, the Limburger has already won three tournaments, including two this season.
At the start of 2022, Costoulas lost in the final of the Australian Open among juniors.
