Competition format
As we have already mentioned, the tournament will start next Thursday, December 21 and will end on Sunday the 24th when the winners are crowned at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. It will be played on an indoor hard court and the format will consist of 16 players who will be divided into 4 teams made up of two men and two women. Eagles, Falcons, Hawks and Kites will be the names of the different Teams that will be made up of several of the best players in the world:
Eagles Team: Daniil Medvedev, Andrey Rublev, Mirra Andreeva and Sofia Kenin
Falcons team: Taylor Fritz, Sumit Nagal, Elena Rybakina and Sorana Cirstea

The different teams will compete all against all in a format round robin in what will be one eliminator per day with a men’s singles match, another women’s singles match and a mixed doubles match. The two teams that qualify in the first two positions will meet again in the grand final that will be held on the fourth and final day, that is, on December 24. As for the matches, all will be played in two sets and with a 10-point tie break if necessary.

The three days of the group stage will be divided into two sessions, one at 3:00 p.m. local time, that is, at 12:00 p.m. in Spain and a second at 6:00 p.m. (3:00 p.m. in the peninsula Spanish).
