Wesley Hoedt really asserted himself at Watford on Saturday. The 29-year-old defender from Alkmaar, who has recently reunited with singer Emma Heesters, beautifully scored the winning goal against Hull City: 1-2. Hoedt saw goalkeeper Ryan Allsop standing far in front of his goal and took advantage of this from no less than 45 meters away, allowing Watford to add three points in the Championship.
Particularities:
Hoedt, who has not missed a minute at Watford this season, wore the captain’s armband at the Hornets on Saturday at the MKM Stadium. The left foot will certainly remember the away match in Hull, as he undoubtedly scored the best goal of his career. Fifteen minutes before the end, Hoedt intercepted the ball himself, after which he fired it from a great distance directly over Allsop into the enemy goal.
