The SC Potsdam volleyball players lost the top game against Dresdner SC. On Saturday evening, the Brandenburg women lost 2:3 (26:24, 17:25, 19:25, 26:24, 11:15). The game in the MBS Arena at home also marked the start of the second half of the season. In the first half of the season, SC Potsdam won 3-0. With 20 points, the Potsdam women are in third place in the table.

Depleted reserves
Less than 48 hours after reaching the cup final, coach Riccardo Boieri’s team was in demand again. And the depleted strength reserves became noticeable. The Brandenburg women were lucky to win the first set, but the Dresden women, who also played in the cup semi-finals on Thursday but were eliminated, dominated the next two rounds.
At the end of the fourth set, Potsdam’s diagonal attacker Danielle Harbin finally made her big appearance. Dresden had three match points with a 24:21 lead. With two consecutive aces, Harbin brought the score level (24:24) a little later, while Suvi Kokkonen secured Brandenburg’s place in the tiebreak with her point at 26:24. Shortly before Christmas, the Potsdam women are on the road again. On December 23rd they will be guests at the Ladies in Black Aachen. At the end of the year, the team welcomes SSC Palmberg Schwerin on December 30th.
