Additionally, Guerrero Jr. likely made different choices for his off-season. Usually, he returned to spend the majority of his time in the Dominican Republic. The son of the former glory of the Montreal Expos, however, decided to establish himself mainly in Florida.

Guerrero Jr. had a tougher two years, after being excellent during the 2021 campaign. That year, he showed up to Jays training camp “thinner.” He then maintained a .311 batting average, hitting 188 hits, including 48 home runs. Also, the young man had scored 123 points.

Last year, the power hitter was limited to a .264 average, 159 hits, 26 home runs and 78 runs scored. These performances, particularly those during his team’s brief stint in the playoffs, frustrated many fans.
