Two days of stoppage in Banda (Lecce), one in eight others – Football

Two match ban. This is the sanction decided by the Serie A sports judge, Gerardo Mastrandrea, against Lameck Banda of Lecce, sent off yesterday during the match against Inter. In the note from the Serie A, it is specified that the player in the 38th minute of the match “challenged an referee’s decision by repeatedly uttering disrespectful expressions”.

Eight others were instead stopped for a shift. Four of them, Fiorillo of Salernitana, Osimhen and Politano of Napoli and Makoumbou of Cagliari had been sent off during their respective matches, while Cambiaso of Juventus, Pablo Marì of Monza, Pongracic of Lecce and Duda of Verona were on a warning and received another yellow card.

A one-day ban also went to Dionisi’s assistant in Sassuolo Marco Riggio and to the Emilians’ physiotherapist Marco Bertuzzi because both “in the 23rd minute of the second half, getting up from the additional bench, blatantly contested an referee’s decision”.
