TV rights The PGA Tour on Canal+ until 2030

Historic right of Canal+, golf will remain on the encrypted channel at least until the next decade with the extension of the PGA Tour on its broadcasts until 2030.

Seven more years for the PGA Tour on Canal+, i.e. until 2030. Golf, the historic right of the encrypted channel for almost forty years, therefore does not change home at least until the next decade. Thomas Sénécal, the sports director, announced this Friday in an interview with Le Figaro: “In addition to the PGA Tour, we have the four major tournaments, the Ryder Cup, the Presidency Cup, all the DP World Tour tournaments, and also the Amundi Évian Championship. This represents two to three tournaments per week and almost 3,000 hours of live broadcast per year. »

After recently signing the rights to the Premier League until 2028, F1 and motorcycles until 2029, and the WRC until 2030, Canal+ is continuing its strategy of long-term extensions on the all of its basic rights… with the exception of Ligue 1. As a reminder, the encrypted channel did not participate in the last call for tenders, declared unsuccessful last fall, for the 2024-2029 contract. And for the moment, nothing has filtered out on possible discussions with the Professional Football League as part of over-the-counter negotiations.
