Triple Sports Initiative for Children During Christmas Break

The initiative has a double objective: to help parents reconcile work and family with their children on non-school days and to promote healthy lifestyle habits through sports. Reservations are now open through the web portal Deportes.antequera.es

The Deputy Mayor for Sports, Juan Rosas, presented today at a press conference a triple sports initiative to be developed during Christmas, specifically from December 26 to January 5. These are three sports campuses of tennis, basketball and 7-a-side football, aimed at schoolchildren aged 5 and up and which will take place respectively on the El Maulí tennis courts, in the Agustín Rodríguez Municipal Pavilion and on the tennis fields. football 7 annexes to the Fernando Argüelles Sports Hall.

This initiative arises from the Sports Area with a double objective. On the one hand, facilitating work-life balance on non-school days and when the little ones in the house don’t have class; on the other hand, the development of healthy sports habits. In both cases, campus hours will be from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

In the case of the tennis campus, a combined work will be carried out with separation of groups by levels and ages, specifically delving into tennis in terms of the management and development of all types of shots. There will be three possible combinations: the first, from Tuesday, December 26 to Friday, December 29 for 50 euros; the second, from Tuesday, January 2 to Friday, January 5, for 50 euros; the third, combined from Tuesday, December 26 to Friday, January 5 for 80 euros.

Regarding the soccer clinic, there will be technical training sessions, technical motivational talks, skills tournaments, parallel multisport activities and a soccer video game tournament. Two dates are offered: December 26 to 29 and January 2 to 5. Each of them for 40 euros, and both together for 80. The basketball camp, for its part, supervised by the Torcal Basketball Club, will take place from December 26 to 29, with a price of 40 euros.

Deputy Mayor Juan Rosas appreciates the work carried out by those responsible for these sports campuses, “thus continuing to bet on sport, to maintain the enthusiasm of children and their sports practice.”
