For its fourth edition, the Tournoi National de L’Huisserie moved upmarket, with players from the Great West, Ile-de-France, and even Champagne-Ardennes. We have around twenty bad players at national level, which is interesting for a tournament like ours, underlined Julien Petit Frère, co-president of AS L’Huisserie Badminton.
On the organizational side, for the first time, the organizers made a relaxation room available to the athletes: Physiotherapy students came to offer their services to the players, which is very appreciated.

On the competition side, the singles table put up a great battle for the men. Thomas Beurier (N3), licensed to the Stade Olympique du Maine club, wins this 4th edition. The Mayennais Lucas Guerin, finalist last year, did not manage to make the semi-finals: I came to win. Now my goal is to move up to N2 at the end of the season, with qualification for France at stake,” said the Château-Gontier licensee. Among the women, the Changéenne Apolline Saudrais won for the second year in a row.
In the mixed doubles, Lynn Brecheteau, Angevine licensed at the Mayenne club of Changé, made a successful return to competition with her friend Antoine Piccirilli (Ponts-de-Cé). After a three-year break, the member of Change found her feelings again and finished 2nd: We lost in the round of 16 at the Avrillé tournament a few weeks ago, we continue to find our bearings with Antoine, appreciated the player who played in N1 in the past. In the men’s doubles, the Mayenne pair Guerin/Lucas won.
