A sign and a representative rise to fame
Much of the Giants quarterback’s identification with the public is his Italian heritage, particularly coming from a small town in New Jersey. As a nod to his roots, the quarterback began to celebrate by raising his arm and making a gesture, bringing his fingertips together upward, in an expression considered “very Italian.” Giants fans have identified with this celebration and it has become a popular celebration iEven in high school sports.

To finish painting the picture, DeVito is represented by Sean Stellato, who rose to fame for his outfit in the duel against the Packers. Stellato, also of Italian descent, was in the band wearing a trench coat and fedora, a classic Italian-American look in the movies.
Stellato was also a quarterback in his youth, and although he did not reach the level that DeVito now has, he was one of the best quarterbacks in the state in high school and has become a figure in New York and New Jersey, even being selected to the Italian American Sports Hall of Fame.
The pizzeria affair
Perhaps the biggest controversy of DeVito’s career is not related to the football field, but to a small pizzeria in Morristown, New Jersey. According to the owner of Coniglio’s Old Fashioned pizzeria, they had agreed to an appearance with the quarterback for Tuesday, December 19, however, Stellato would have asked for double the initial payment to attend.

Nino Coniglio, owner of the business, accused what happened on social networks, apologizing to those who had already purchased tickets to the event. After the disagreement, the Giants player showed up at the business, without charging anything, to smooth things over and make his word valid.
Stellato was not present and it was later revealed that he would now only handle matters related to sports contracts, leaving marketing to another representative. An ordinary day in the life of a 25-year-old quarterback who still lives at his parents’ house.
