The Lithuanians were leading 2-4 in the tenth minute of the third period, then tied the game less than two minutes before the end of the regular time and scored the decisive goal 46 seconds before the end of the extra time.

The Baltics thoroughly defeated the British new shift tonight, making 29 (!) more shots on goal (52-23).

Ben Belichenko, Vitaly Fedjukina, Lina Dedin, Ilya Michalevich and Artura Senyuts each scored a goal for the winners. Jack Hopkins and Oliver Endicott scored two goals each for the Great Britain team.

In the duel between the Dutch and Chinese U20 national teams, Asian hockey players scored much more often (46-29), but the Europeans used the opportunities more successfully.

In the last five and a half minutes of regular time, the Chinese goal was scored twice by Tom Spiel. The Orange fortress was excellently defended by Sam Luitwiler.

In the fight to return to the second level of the hierarchy of the world U20 championship, the teams of Italy, Slovenia and Ukraine have come to the fore, and they scored convincing victories for the second day in a row.

In Italy’s crushing success (11:2) over the Croatians, Alessandro Segafredo scored a hat-trick, while Luciano Dzandegiacomo, Natans Garau and Niccolo Remolato scored two goals each.

In the defeat (1:5) against their peers from Ukraine, Estonia was in the lead for 13 minutes, in the 14th minute the 17-year-old hockey player of Tallinn “Panter” Demid Morozov realized the numerical majority.
