The San Silvestre Vallecana honors Pepe Domingo Castaño in its presentation

This Saturday, the Nationale-Nederlanden San Silvestre Vallecana honored sports radio host Pepe Domingo Castaño, who died at the age of 80 on September 17, during the presentation of its international test for 2023, which took place at the Daoíz Municipal Sports Center and Velarde of Madrid.

Also journalist Jorge Hevia, colleague of Pepe Domingo Castaño in the sports area both in his time at Cadena SER (‘Carrusel Deportivo’) and later at COPE (‘Tiempo de Juego’), collected on behalf of the family of the deceased announcer a commemorative t-shirt for this year’s San Silvestre Vallecana.

It was presented on stage by Antonio Sabugueiro, founder of the ‘Sansil’ of Vallecas in 1964, in the presence of favorites for victory such as Berihu Aregawi, Mohamed Katir, Fernando Carro, Yago Rojo, Majida Maayouf, Lonah Salpeter, Ababel Yeshaneh and Likina Amebaw, among other competitors.
