Inspired and encouraged by her mother, Mahboubeh took up judo at the age of fifteen. She swiftly rose through the ranks, participating in numerous competitions in Iran before eventually joining the Iranian National Judo team. Left with no other choice in 2018, she sought asylum in Germany with her daughter.
Mahboubeh’s dedication to sport extends beyond judo, as she also actively participates in bodybuilding, swimming, and running. With a black belt in Judo Dan 3, she has taken on roles as judge and coach in sports and she hopes to inspire others to pursue their goals while being a single mother, a refugee and a woman. Mahboubeh’s daughter remains her biggest source of motivation.
