The Gunners spoil their anniversary, Tottenham gets closer to the top four – Football – Sportacentrs.com

The Gunners did well in the early part of the fight, in the fifth minute, Bukayo Sak was in the right place and at the right time and sent the ball saved by the former “Arsenal” goalkeeper Bernt Leno into the goal.

Shortly before the half-hour mark, Fulham hit back, Mexican Raul Jimenez using a filigree cross from Scotsman Tom Kearney. “Arsenal” soon came close to regaining the upper hand, but the ball sent by Brazilian Gabriel Martinelli flew past the goal post.

In the second half, “Arsenal” players showed an increasingly dull performance on the field. In the 60th minute, Jamaican Bobby de Cordova-Reid put Fulham in the lead. Scorer of the first goal, Saka, wasted a brilliant chance to regain parity shortly after.

Fulham then came closest to changing the result, snapping a two-game losing streak and giving Arsenal their fifth unbeaten run in six games since December 9.

“Arsenal” did not win (2:2) in the first duel between the two on August 26.

In the first two weeks of the new year, “Fulham” are scheduled for three matches: the FA Cup 1/32 final duel against the “Championship” league team “Rotherham” (January 5), the first leg of the League Cup semi-final against “Liverpool” (January 10) and the Premier League match against London “Chelsea” (January 13).

“Arsenal” will host “Liverpool” in the 1/32 finals of the FA Cup on January 7, but will only go to the Premier League on January 20, when they have to play against London’s “Crystal Palace”.

Senegalese Papa Sarra’s second, South Korean Hinmin Son’s 12th goal of the season, as well as Brazilian Richarlison’s fifth goal in the last five games forged Tottenham Hotspur’s success (3:1) over Bournemouth.

At the end of regular time for the Bournemouth team, 20-year-old midfielder Alex Scott scored the first goal in the Premier League. Scott also beat Italian goalkeeper Giulio Vicario in the 11th minute of stoppage time, but then his goal was disallowed in the video replay due to a fixed back position.

Tottenham ended their opponents’ four-game winning streak with their fourth win in five games since December 10. Previously, “Spurs” experienced a streak of five unbeaten matches.

Tottenham will host “Burnley” in the 1/32 final of the FA Cup on January 5. In the Premier League, “Spurs” will visit the Manchester Red Devils on January 14.

The Bournemouth team will take on Queens Park Rangers from the bottom of the “Championship” in the FA Cup on January 6 in London, and will host “Liverpool” in the Premier League on January 21.
