The Detroit Pistons’ Struggles Continue as the Orlando Magic Rise: A Look at the Franchise’s Challenges

The Detroit Pistons suffered their 19th consecutive loss last Friday at the hands of the Orlando Magic, which keeps them as the red lantern of the Eastern Conference with a 2-20 record.

Both franchises seemed to be on similar trajectories when the 2022-23 season began. However, its evolution ended up separating them. Now, in this one, the Magic share the lead in the East along with the Boston Celtics, while in Michigan they cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel.

One of the components of the Pistons roster, Isaiah Stewart, shared his impressions about the current state of the project, using the Magic themselves as a mirror. “You can see immediately that everyone [en el equipo de Orlando] You know who they are. Their roles, what they are supposed to do when they enter the track and are united,” declared the interior, according to the media. The Athletic.

Stewart further elaborated on his words and added that there is a lack of chemistry in the locker room. «[Están] connected. You hear them talk on the court and you can see that they are connected,” concluded the Pistons player.

Just a week ago, the media The Detroit Press shared that major changes could come to the franchise sooner rather than later if things don’t change. And the first to be pointed out has been the general manager Troy Weaver. Still, from Stewart’s words it is clear that more moves will be necessary before the team is able to compete.
