After the European Championship in Germany next summer, Austria’s Bundesliga will get out of the starting blocks a little later. The championship kick-off for the 2024/25 season will take place on the first weekend in August (August 2nd to 4th), as the league announced on Thursday after the club conference.
For the first time since the reform, the 32 championship rounds will be divided into 16 rounds each in autumn and spring. The “final” of the regular season in the spring consists of six games.
Due to the European Cup reform, the clubs represented in the Champions and Europa League have to play two games in January before the first competitive national game.
