The curtain will rise on Thursday 7 September on the 16th edition of the Italian 3D Championships for the Compound, Barebow, Instinctive Bow and Longbow divisions in the Over 20 and Under 20 male and female, individual, team and mixed team classes.
The event is organized by the City of Terni Archers and hosted in the magnificent location of Polino. Then, from Friday until Sunday, the 599 registered players will take to the field, including the best in this sporting discipline.
Polino’s Assoluti will be used by the technical director of the national team as a test event in view of the European Championship scheduled for next October in Cesana Torinese.
For the Arcieri Città di Terni the spotlight will be on the golden couple formed by Sabrina Vannini and Nicola Kos. both defending champions in the instinctive bow at last year’s Italian 3D Championships.
“After the European Championship and the World Championship we want to close the circle with these Assoluti – commented Stefano Tombesi, president of the Arcieri Città di Terni – the choice of Polino and Colle Bertone is already receiving the first important appreciation. In view of the start of the Italian 3D Championships I would like to personally thank the approximately 100 volunteers who have come from all over Italy who are working hard to make this event unique. Thanks to them but also to the municipal administration of Polino who immediately embraced our project and who worked hard to organize a traveling dinner inside the village reserved for the athletes with the aim of letting them experience the heat first-hand Umbrian and Terni”.

9am flag raising and opening ceremony of the Italian 3D Championships
From 10am to 2pm the qualifiers will be closed to the public
From 3pm to 6pm the mixed teams will be on stage with public access permitted
Saturday 9 September
From 8am to 6pm races with access permitted to the public
Sunday 10 September
From 10am to 3pm finals of all categories. The awards ceremony will follow.
