Tennessee Titans’ Derrick Henry Placed on NFL Concussion Protocol

According to ESPNTennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry has been placed on the NFL’s concussion protocol.

Due to this news, Henry may not be able to be in uniform next Monday for the Titans’ game against the Miami Dolphins.

Henry left the Titans’ 31-28 loss to the Indianapolis Colts Sunday in the fourth quarter to be checked for a concussion, but did not return to the game.

Before leaving the game, the veteran had collected 102 rushing yards and two touchdowns. During his absence, Tyjae Spears would get the start in the Titans backfield. He rushed for 76 yards on Sunday against the Colts, a career high.

Offensive player of the year in the NFL in 2020, Henry ranks second on the Goodell circuit with 841 rushing yards. He also scored eight touchdowns. The Titans are 4-8 this season and languish in last place in their division.
