HOUSTON — Two dynamic quarterbacks lead two of the most surprising teams in the AFC into a matchup on Sunday, as the Houston Texans host the Denver Broncos.

These two teams are in the thick of the race for the last playoff spot in the AFC. They are currently tied with the Indianapolis Colts for seventh in the conference, all just one game back of the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers, who sit fifth and sixth.
The Broncos are one of the hottest teams in football. Denver and the Philadelphia Eagles both are riding five-game winning streaks into Week 13, with the Broncos being on the more shocking run.
It is not like earlier in the season when Denver was squeaking out wins. They are beating teams confidently, something not seen since the Peyton Manning era. Among the teams they have defeated, the Broncos have taken down the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills, taking down the Cleveland Browns last Sunday.
Denver is second in the West, two games back of the Chiefs.
Though they might not be on a winning streak, the Texans have been just as impressive, given how futile the team has played in recent years. They took a step back in a key AFC South matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars, falling 24-21. However, CJ Stroud went throw-for-throw with Trevor Lawrence, posting another two-touchdown game. It ended a three-game win streak for Houston, as they are now two games back of the Jags.
This will be just the 10th all-time meeting between the Texans and Broncos, with Denver leading 6-3, beating Houston, 16-9, in September of last year.
