The fourth and last round of the Andalusian League and the Provincial Championship were played
Indoor Archery has been the star of this Christmas weekend in the coastal town of Isla Cristina with the celebration of the fourth and final round of the Andalusian Archery League
Thus, 160 archers from the participating clubs gathered at the town’s Multipurpose Pavilion “El Batel” to compete in these two important events at the provincial and regional level.
Regarding the modalities, the archers competed in different modalities, such as recurve bow, traditional bow, longboard and naked bow, among others, from the female and male categories and from squirrel and youth to veterans, including the participation of those known as nobels and the Pink Arrows, women who have suffered from cancer and practice this sport that is beneficial for their illness.
The delegate councilor for Sports Alex Boa has been present in all the tests, along with Francisco Migue Ruiz “Pope”, president of the local club and the representatives of the Huelva delegation and the Andalusian Archery Federation.
The mayor, in addition to handing out some of the medals, once again highlighted “the good health that archery enjoys on Isla Cristina with the excellent work and the work that the La Flecha Isleña club is doing creating a quarry and making of this sport something more than attractive” thanking the attendance and push of the public this weekend.
Boa highlighted “the success of this call” and of course thanked the Asirio Club for its collaboration “in the event by providing judges and organizing” while making clear “the commitment and support of the City Council to archery, increasing facilities and the number of users so that it becomes larger and larger.”
The president of the club was very satisfied “with the development of the tests and the achievements achieved by all the athletes” making a good balance of metals that we have brought for our club.
