Standard Club Liège Faces Transfer Ban Due to Unpaid Debts: A Blow On and Off the Pitch

Another hard blow for Standard, already struggling on the pitch. This Thursday, the Licenses Commission announced a transfer ban for the Liège club. In question, numerous payments not made by Rouches, as explained by the Commission in its press release.

In view of these infractions, the Licensing Commission has decided to impose a transfer ban on the main club until the mentioned payments are made.

Standard remains confident

Following this announcement, Standard reacted with a press release published on its official website. The Liège club showed its confidence and wanted to reassure everyone despite the sanction. “As indicated yesterday to the Commission, the funds necessary to regularize the situation are arriving today from the club’s shareholder,” wrote the Liège club.
