SOA Prepares for Redemption: Big Changes for the 2023-2024 Season

After a mixed season last year, the Société Omnisport de l’Armée (SOA), which lost the title of champion of Côte d’Ivoire two years ago (2020-2021), decided to carry out big changes for the 2023-2024 season.

Indeed, at the level of coaches and players, several movements have been made within the N1 teams (SOA, ASA, Warriors) of the large SOA family in the Men’s category. Thus, coach Blaise Amalabian who had a great season with the Adjamé Sports Association (3rd in the 2022-2023 ranking) takes the reins of the SOA.

In terms of recruitment, Ivorian international Siré Dieng, AfroCAN vice-champion, Azur player, joins the Sodjas. At the ASA level, Coulibaly Larry Christian, champion with the SOA (2020-2021) succeeds Blaise Amalabian at the Bramôgôs d’Adjamé.

Among the Warriors of President Bénié Jöel, several arrivals have been recorded. The legendary captain of the SOA, Stéphane Agolé, signed with the Yellow and Blue in order to bring his experience to the youngest players. In addition, coach Roland Blé, former assistant coach of the SOA, will lead the warriors team. He replaces coach Emery Eli Nyapkenu.

For the leaders, these changes meet several objectives, notably the reconquest of the national title.
