Premier League club Sheffield United have parted ways with their manager Paul Heckingbottom. The club, owned by Saudi Arabian businessman Prince Abdullah, announced this on Tuesday. This is the first dismissal of a coach during the current season. Chris Wilder is ready to succeed Heckingbottom.

The 56-year-old had already coached United from 2016 to 2021. “Chris is practically an honorary member, he is part of Sheffield United,” Prince Abdullah told radio station TalkSport. The “Blades” will face Liverpool in their next Premier League game on Wednesday evening.
