San Crispín Club Shines at Regional Indoor Archery Championship in Canary Islands

Last weekend, the Canary Islands Indoor Archery Championship was held in Tenerife, with a team of seven magnificent archers from the San Crispín Club of Antigua traveling there. 6 medals for San Crispín in the Regional Indoor Archery

The day began in the Olympic Arch modality, San Crispín archer, Cristian Cherchi, in Senior and Veteran categories. They continued, Ancor Jorge Quintana and Hugo Fernández Reyes in the U18 category and the youngest of the team, José Luis Barrero Pérez competing in U15. And also, he competed again in U21 Compound Bow, Gisela Gonzalez Vera.

After the first initial nerves, everything developed as expected, and Cristian Cherchi was confirmed as Third of the Canary Islands Veteran, Ancor Jorge, Champion of the Canary Islands and his partner Hugo Fernández, Third of the Canary Islands.

In addition, Gisela González was proclaimed runner-up of the Canary Islands and José Luis Champion of the Canary Islands.

The competition continued in the afternoon, with the archers of the San Crispín Club, in the traditional Bow modality, Angel Sardinia and naked bow with José Antonio Baqueiro. Achieving, respectively, fourth place in the Canary Islands and third place in the Canary Islands Veterans.

A total of 6 medals from seven representatives, which confirm that the work carried out at the San Crispín Club is on the right track. The next challenge for the San Crispín archer team will be the fourth scoring event for the world archery ranking, to be held in Nimes, France.
