SA CBR-Sagrex has launched work to extend its quarry in Antoing

The mound (slag heap) will be made up of exposed earth and extraction waste, as part of the project to extend the “Cimescaut” quarry to the RN52 Gaurain-Antoing-Bruyelle, opposite the Fontenoy sugar refinery. The construction site has just started. It includes the demolition of an old farmhouse on Chemin du Trou, then, on the same site, in 2026-2027, landscaping will follow. The mound of 2.6 million m3 from the Antoing quarries will spread over an area of ​​12.2 hectares along the Chaussée de la Clinckererie, facing the street and the city of Abyssinie and Trou Billemont.
