Rossi assist in Minnesota’s success in Boston

Marco Rossi and the Minnesota Wild returned to winning ways in the National Hockey League (NHL) just 24 hours after the narrow 3-4 defeat against the Pittsburgh Penguins in Boston. Minnesota beat the Bruins 4-3 in overtime on Tuesday evening (local time).

Austria’s NHL export contributed the assist to Minnesota’s interim 3-2 lead through Ryan Hartman. Rossi now has ten goals and eight assists, making him the fourth-best scorer in the Wild squad and, together with Kirill Kaprizow, the second-best scorer behind Joel Eriksson Ek (14). The top scorer is Norwegian Mats Zuccarello with six goals and 22 assists.

The match winners for Minnesota were goalkeeper Marc-Andre Fleury with 40 saved shots and Kaprizow, who scored the decisive goal after 2:54 minutes of overtime with his second goal of the game.

Marcus Johansson had given the guests the lead, but David Pastrnak turned the game around with a brace. Minnesota regained the lead thanks to Kaprizow and Hartman, but Brad Marchand saved the Bruins in overtime.
