Over the past two years, the Belgian Athletics Championships took place in Gentbrugge and Bruges. In 2022, a series of concerts put a stop to a Belgian Championship at Heysel, and in 2023 the renovation of the athletics track in Brussels.
The intention was always to return to the King Baudouin Stadium in 2024. Confirmation of this came from Belgian Athletics in September.
