Sport, particularly Senegalese judo, is in mourning with the death yesterday in Dakar of Oumar Danga Loum. The information was made public by the Experts Club Platform, Globe Sports and Press Review. The former president of the Senegalese Judo Federation and Secretary General of the African Judo Union died on the evening of November 30 at his home in Grand-Yoff, reports “Le Témoin”.
The man, a former exceptional youth inspector, had retired from active life for some time, following an illness. For a long time, with knowledge, talent and brilliance, he hosted the judo section in the “Sports” page of the national daily “Le Soleil”, as well as in the now defunct weekly “Zone 2”, where he signed under the pseudonym Samba Farou Ndao.
