Rangers FC is gradually becoming Belgium FC. The Scottish top club today announced its new sporting director. Dimitri De Condé was in the picture, but he didn’t make it. The Scots did sign Nils Koppen from PSV.
The 38-year-old Koppen was a scouting coordinator at PSV and after five years in Eindhoven he is now making a nice switch to Rangers FC. He previously worked for the Football Association of Belgium and within the youth department of KRC Genk.
Headers to Rangers
“I am delighted to be joining such a prestigious club as Rangers. The Chairman and CEO have both made it clear in recent times that our recruitment needs to function better and on a more regular basis. I look forward to working together with the scouting team, which is already here at the club, and to ensure that we achieve our goals in the coming years,” Koppen said.
Belgian revolution
Rangers has gradually come into Belgian hands. Philippe Clement is head coach, Stephan Van der Heyden T2 and Zeb Jacobs Academy Director. In addition, two Belgians are also playing: Cyriel Dessers and Nicolas Raskin. Quite a strong Belgian revolution among the Scots
Rangers FC are currently second in the Scottish league. They have eight points less than Celtic, who have played one more match.
#RangersFC are today delighted to confirm the completion of the men’s football board, with the appointment of Nils Koppen from PSV Eindhoven as Director of Football Recruitment, subject to receipt of a work permit.
