Jakarta (ANTARA) – Rafael Struick and Ivar Jenner have joined the Indonesian national team’s training camp (TC) in Antalya, Turkey.
Reporting from the official PSSI website, Saturday, Rafael and Ivar arrived in Turkey on Thursday (28/12) evening local time and the following day, Friday (29/12) underwent fitness training at the gym. “I’m happy to be here after yesterday’s trip. This is my first gym workout. I’m very excited,” said Rafael Struick.
Rafael revealed that he is currently fit and can play for the Garuda team in the 2023 Asian Cup.
“I’m ready to play, I’m very excited to play in the national team. I’m ready for the Asian Cup, for that, I’ve prepared myself in the past few weeks so I can give my best for the team, to become a strong team,” said Rafael.

Talking about Indonesia’s chances at the Asian Cup next year, Rafael said there were positive opportunities for Indonesia.
“Our opponents are strong, but we are also a strong and good team, so I think we have a chance, if we work hard, we will take that opportunity. Hopefully we can get through to the knockout stage first,” continued Rafael.
Meanwhile, for Ivar, he agrees with Rafael in that he is very enthusiastic about attending the training camp and preparing to defend the Indonesian national team.
“Similar to Rafael, I am also excited to join this training camp in Antalya and also be able to play again with the national team. Previously I was injured for a long time, two to four months. I am very happy to be able to play again for Indonesia. Today’s training session at gym, legs, upper body, circuit and everything,” explained Ivar.
After his injury, Ivar is confident that he is currently in good condition to be able to play again and make his debut with the team coached by coach Shin Tae-yong.
“My condition is getting better, but I haven’t played again during my injury, so now I can play, the first match will be with the national team, so I’m very happy,” he stressed.
Finally, regarding Indonesia’s opportunities, he said he was ready to appear in the Asian Cup. Apart from that, according to Ivar, his team currently consists of good players and is able to compete in the Asian Cup.
“I think we have a good team. But also a good opponent. I think we can beat them. So that’s what I’m excited about too. We’re a good team with a strong opponent, I think we can beat them. So, we’ll see later,” concluded Ivar.
