A great presentation was made by the Pudeto Sports Club at the National Judo Tournament held in the capital over the weekend.
The contest organized by the Chilean Judo Federation brought together the best exponents of the country, calling for the top 10 in each category.
The Puntarenas delegation was made up of nine athletes, who traveled with the coach Juan San Martín, the men’s delegate, Juan Madrid, and the women’s delegate, Jasna Garrido.
In sports, Club Pudeto obtained three Chilean champions, highlighting the work of Mía Maldonado, Eric Fuentes and John Madrid, in addition to two second places, one third place and four fifth places.

-Rafaella Álvarez, fifth place, sub 21 category, -57 kg and fifth place, absolute -57 kg.
The president of the Pudeto Club, Juan Madrid, commented that it is an honor to be the president of this club to which he has belonged for more than 10 years, where he has known the athletes since they were children and has seen their progress and growth.
“The club’s athletes participated this year in three national federated championships in Concepción, Iquique and Santiago.
In addition to a zonal one in Panguipulli and two regional ones in Magallanes. All this makes us work as a club throughout the year since we have 14 athletes,” said the leader who thanked IND Magallanes for the support of tickets to participate in this latest event organized by the Judo Federation of Chile.
