PSG will face Real Sociedad in the round of 16 of the Champions League

The draw for the round of 16 of the Champions League, carried out this Monday noon in Nyon (Switzerland), at UEFA headquarters, offered Paris Saint-Germain a Spanish opponent: Real Sociedad.

After finishing second in Group F behind Borussia Dortmund (and ahead of AC Milan and Newcastle), Luis Enrique’s men will face the Basque club, which finished ahead of Inter Milan in Group D.

An unprecedented clash in European Cups

This clash will be a great first, because PSG and Real Sociedad have never met in any European competition. This will be the Parisian club’s eighth Spanish opponent (after Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, La Coruna, Santander, Sevilla FC, Athletic Bilbao and Valencia).

The first legs will take place on February 13, 14, 20 and 21, the return matches on March 5, 6, 12 and 13. The first round will be played at Parc de Princes, the second at Anoeta.
