PSG: Ronaldinho dreams of seeing Mbappé win the Ballon d’Or with Paris

Even 20 years after leaving the club, Ronaldinho clearly keeps PSG in his heart. Questioned by AFP on the sidelines of the Teqball World Championships in Bangkok, Thailand, the Brazilian legend notably mentioned the future of Kylian Mbappé.

“A great player like him can have the opportunity to win the Ballon d’Or in any team, but as I love PSG, I would like him to do it with PSG,” said the champion of the world 2002. “I hope he will win it. He’s a good friend, and a great player. I like his style of play,” he continued.

“PSG is a great club”

The captain of the French team, in search of the prestigious individual award, finished third this year, his best ranking. “Winning the big competitions will help him a lot,” said Ronaldinho, who himself won the Ballon d’Or in 2005.

“PSG is a great club,” insisted the Brazilian, who has become an ambassador for teqball, a new sport that combines elements of football and table tennis. Player of Paris Saint-Germain between 2001 and 2003, the former Brazilian international played 77 matches with the capital club, and scored 25 goals. Before joining Barça, it was with Paris that he took his first steps in Europe and achieved his first feats after leaving Gremio, in Brazil.
