Potosina Delegation Impresses at National Judo Tournament: Earns Merits for Future Selection Processes

The Potosina Delegation that participated in the National Judo Tournament returned with excellent results, adding, in addition to the medals won, merits for the upcoming selection processes.

It was the National Tournament: “Jorge Ito” 2023 for the Sub 13, 15, 18, 21 and Senior categories in addition to the Mexican Judo Gala whose headquarters was the Poliforum of Club Dorados in Oaxtepec Morelos.

Qualifying event to form the National Team of Athletes who will represent the country in the Second Junior Pan American Games 2025, and selective for the Senior National Team.

The team that represented San Luis was that of the SADECO School and the state-selected athletes were accompanied by Sensei Eli Carrizales.

The harvest was as follows: Roberto Ricardo Elias Puente took third position and Abraham Gustavo la Cervantes Cano took second, both in the U15 category.

Cristina Marceleño Rivera in Sub 18 minus 48 kilos placed third in addition to another third but in Sub 21; Valeria Linett Juárez Martínez obtained two excellent positions with a first place in Sub 21 and a third place in 70 kilos Sub 18.

and finally Kevin Sinue Teniente Cano from the Under 21 category obtained fifth place and in Primera Fuerza he took seventh place.
