“I greet the faithful of Rocca di Papa and the torch with which they will light the great star on the fortress of their beautiful town in honor of Mary Immaculate”. With these words Pope Francis greeted during the 12 noon Angelus in St. Peter’s Square the large delegation of athletes and associations who arrived with the torch that will light the Comet Star on the Fortress this afternoon.
From 5pm in Piazza della Repubblica in Rocca di Papa the arrival of the torchbearers who left from St. Peter’s Square is expected, with the subsequent lighting of the Comet Star of the Medieval Fortress.
