Polisportiva Libertas Molfetta: Sporting Successes During the Holiday Season and Plans for 2024

These are days of celebration but also of sport for the Polisportiva Libertas Molfetta who did not interrupt their sporting activities for the Christmas holidays, but have worked constantly in recent days trying not to be relaxed by Christmas carols, school plays and above all seasonal ailments that are affecting many Molfetta families.

On December 27th, Polisportiva Libertas participated in the X Memorial Iavazzo Youth Judo Trophy in Torre Annunziata (NA) with four athletes, all brilliantly classified in their respective age classes, and led by the coach Sebastiano Alicino.

The rookie A, De Robertis Cosimoborn in 2011, took part in a team competition with a local team, winning his matches and contributing to the achievement of first place overall for his representative.

The Children and Children classes saw protagonists Minervini Antonio (year 2015) e Guarino Giovanni (year 2016) who won their matches with a certain ease, demonstrating constant growth and an ability to tread the tatami which bodes well for the future of these very young athletes. He was another protagonist Kverezeli Andreaborn in 2014, involved both in his own age group where he was the winner and in the higher one, where he had the opportunity to gain good experience, given that it was his first competition.

Having archived the year 2023 with this last sporting event, the Polisportiva Libertas Molfetta is already oriented towards the 2024 sporting and competitive activity which will start immediately at the beginning of the year with the Regional Qualification Phase for the Italian Karate Championships on 14 January, the Trophy Little Judo Samurai on January 21st and the Italian Wrestling Championships on January 27th/28th.

Also scheduled during the month of January are the graduation exam sessions for the belt transfer of Judo and Karate athletes. In short, a decidedly challenging start to the year for the Sports Management entrusted to Michele Amato with a dense program of training sessions, demonstrations and sporting events that do not leave out the younger age groups, from 2-3 years old and up.
