OL Group Confident After DNCG Interview but Decision Pending on Sanctions

Interviewed last Tuesday in Paris at the LFP headquarters by the DNCG, OL emerged rather confident from the interview, which went better than last summer according to all participating parties. But after the presentation of the budget by John Textor and Thierry Sauvage, the financial policeman of French football communicated on a “stay of decision”, pending “additional elements”.

This concerned the documents proving the closing of the refinancing of OL Groupe’s debt for €385 million, led by Goldman Sachs and effective since the end of last week. With a file now complete, OL will know this Tuesday, probably at the end of the day, if the DNCG lifts the sanctions taken on July 4, namely the regulation of payroll and transfer compensation. This decision will condition the sporting future of the club, which plans to invest significantly in the winter transfer window.
