Nigeria wins everything, discover the 2023 winners

From our special correspondent in Marrakech – Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen was voted best African player of the year 2023 on Monday, during a ceremony organized by the Confederation of African Football in Marrakech, Morocco. Find all the winners.

The convention center in Marrakech, Morocco, dressed in its finest black and gold on Monday December 11 to host the 2023 CAF Awards.

Osimhen, Italian champion with Naples last season, beat Egyptian Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) and Moroccan defender Achraf Hakimi (Paris SG) in the race for the African Ballon d’Or.

Among the women, it was her compatriot Asisat Oshoala, already awarded five times, who was voted best player of the year for the sixth time.

It’s the Napoli star who wins! Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is voted best player of 2023, after a remarkable year which notably saw him win the Serie A title.

The Italian champion is ahead of the Egyptian Mohamed Salah and the Moroccan defender Achraf Hakimi.

After a long interlude, the trophy for best African player of the year 2023 goes to Nigerian Asisat Oshoala, already awarded five times.
