Bola.net – Former member of the PSSI Exco, Hasani Abdulgani, has opened up about the names of players who have been said to be naturalized for the Indonesian National Team. One of the players discussed is Pascal Struijk.
Currently, PSSI is working on the naturalization process for players for the Indonesian National Team. It is hoped that they will be listed in the Indonesian national team squad for the upcoming 2023 Qatar Asian Cup.
Among the four players, there is the name Justin Hubner, whose process is more advanced. Meanwhile, the other three names are Ragnar Oratmangoen, Jay Idzes, and Nathan Tjoe-A-On.

Pascal Struijk’s Naturalization Opportunities

Pascal Struijk currently plays with Leeds United. Before relegation to the Championship Division in the 2022/2023 season, Pascal Struijk was part of Leeds United’s three-season journey in the Premier League.
“Pascal Struijk, this is still possible [untuk dinaturalisasi],” said Hasani, quoted from the YouTube channel Hasani’s Corner.
“It’s just that, like other players, he still hopes to be called up by the Dutch national team, so we appreciate that because we can’t force it,” continued Hasani.
Pascal Struijk once defended the Netherlands U-17. He once received a call from the Dutch national team at senior level, but has never played.

Apart from Pascal Struijk, Emil Audero is also said to be a candidate for naturalization for the Indonesian National Team. In the case of the Inter Milan goalkeeper, Hasani confirmed that the player was not tempted to defend the Indonesian national team.
“Emil Audero is an elite player. He really wants, from the news I follow, to become a player for the Italian national team. That’s why when we tease him ‘let’s defend Indonesia’, he still seems to object,” he said.

Kevin Diks Hasn’t Been Tempted Yet

One other player who has been linked to the naturalization process is Kevin Diks. The 27 year old player appeared consistently with FC Copenhagen. He regularly plays in the Champions League and is used to facing difficult opponents.
“Kevin Diks, we have invited him, but he has not been tempted. Maybe we hope that one day he will be tempted,” said Hasani.
