MLB Market Movement: David Fletcher Traded to Atlanta Braves and Other Major Trades

While waiting to know the future of Shohei Ohtani, a market movement occurred during the night which had as its protagonist a veteran of the Italian expedition to the 2023 World Baseball Classic. A three-time All-Star, he was a top-5 MVP in 2020 and 2021 and finished second in 2021 behind former teammate Bryce Harper. In the season just ended he played every game on the calendar and dominated the MLB in bases earned (132), his strong point along with home runs and contact. On a financial level, Soto is ready to enter his final year of arbitration (in 2023 he earned 23 million dollars) and unless his contract is renewed he will become a free agent in the 2024-2025 offseason.
