Ministry of Youth and Sports Reveals Potential Naturalized Player for Indonesian National Team

tvOnenews.com – Expert from the Ministry of Youth and Sports for Diaspora and Youth, Hamdan Hamedan, said that there is a grade A player who plays for one of the best clubs in the world who wants to be naturalized by the Indonesian National Team.

This was expressed by Hamdan after there were accusations that the players who were naturalized by the Indonesian National Team were currently of mediocre quality and could not possibly defend their country.

“There are those who say, aren’t those who are naturalized, only players who don’t sell well in their country?” said Hamdan at the PSSI Press Downtime Discussion, Thursday (21/22/2023).

Hamdan added that at that time there was a player who the Indonesian national team coach, Shin Tae-yong, really wanted to be naturalized. His party, he continued, immediately responded.

Then, the player Shin Tae-yong wanted was invited to communicate and offered Indonesian citizenship. However, this process does not always run smoothly.

“I’ll say it this way, there was a player that coach Shin Tae-yong wanted. He wanted him. We went to him, we explained who we were politely and professionally, but he didn’t feel like he was Indonesian. He didn’t want to,” he said.
