Milan Skriniar spoke about his first months at Paris Saint-Germain after signing during the summer transfer window. Arriving free from Inter Milan during the off-season, the Slovak defender confirmed having sought advice from Gianluigi Donnarumma and Achraf Hakimi before signing for Ligue 1.
Appreciated by interior supporters during his time in Milan, Milan Skriniar even donned the captain’s armband. Before refusing to extend, experiencing a complicated final season then freely committing to PSG during the summer of 2023. A choice guided, in particular, by the advice of two future teammates in Ligue 1.
“Before coming to Paris I spoke to Gigio Donnarumma as well as with Achraf Hakimi because I had played with him at Inter Milan,” admitted the Slovak defender in an interview published this Wednesday on the social networks of the Ile-de-France club. “I already knew a little bit about the club because, of course, anyone who watches a little football knows that PSG is one of the best and one of the strongest clubs in the world. I already knew that and now I can confirm it.”

Indisputable starter this season in Paris, Milan Skriniar has only missed one match out of the 23 possible in 2023-2024. Often associated with captain Marquinhos in the central hinge, the 28-year-old Slovak has not yet found his best level. Perhaps the need to adapt after his years in Serie A when he ultimately only knows a few players in his new team.
