Manuel Andrés González calls for urgent action on Doñana agreement

The president of the PP of Huelva and Andalusian parliamentarian, Manuel Andrés Gonzálezwill defend this Thursday in the Plenary Session of Parliament a Non-Law Proposition (PNL) so that it urges the Government of Spain to comply with the agreement for Doñana “without waiting for another day to pass.”

González has stated that it is time to launch all the administrative mechanisms necessary so that “as soon as possible, all the measures stated become a reality and put an end to a problem inherited from the previous PSOE government in the Board that left hundreds of families in the County who are dedicated to agricultural activity helpless.”

“For this agreement to become a reality, it requires action on the part of the Government of Spain,” which is why the popular has insisted that “the commitment must be put in place so that future generations inherit a prosperous economy and also enjoy the natural jewel that is Doñana.”

González has insisted that with this agreement “we all win, no one loses” because it will benefit the agri-food sector, extensive livestock farming, the forestry sector, industry, crafts, renewable energy, the tourism sector, brand Doñanalocal entities, the improvement of the living conditions of seasonal agricultural workers or cultural heritage.”

Likewise, the NLP aims to urge the Governing Council of the Junta de Andalucía to in turn urge the Government of Spain to “define and specify the actions and their location in the 14 municipalities that are included in the agreement, in addition of your investment.”

Also, the Non-Law Proposition requests the commitment of the Government of Spain with the future of the region, to this end it requests that this will be included in the General Budgets of the State with an allocation for 2024 that is intended for “urgent execution the works necessary for the completion of the Alcolea dam”, the unfolding of the San Silvestre tunnel; the Pedro Arco dam; the Trigueros canal; the expansion of the Bocachanza pumping stations and the expansion and improvement of the Matalascañas WWTP.
