The dojo at the Halle multisports Quincieu d’Aiguilhe hosted, at the end of December, a major judo training session supervised by the new regional technical director, Jean-Pierre Millon.
The Le Puy Community Martial Arts Club and the Haute-Loire Departmental Judo Committee organized, Friday, December 22, departmental training at the dojo of the Quincieu d’Aiguilhe multisports hall, supervised by the new regional technical director, Jean-Pierre Millon , former manager of Pôle France Bordeaux then of the Chinese women’s national team. A large delegation from the Roman Dojo, from Drôme, accompanied by its trainer, Stéphane Mollier-Sabet, traveled on this occasion, as did the judokas from the Puy, Pont-Salomon/Saint-Ferréol-d’Auroure clubs. , Blavozy, Espaly, Monistrol-sur-Loire and Yssingeaux.
After the traditional warm-up, more than 80 judokas, all grades combined, were introduced to the different techniques specific to judo which consist of unbalancing the opponent and falling without hurting themselves.
The training was, most of the time, carried out in pairs and under the instructions of Jean-Pierre Millon. As a fine technician and teacher, Jean-Pierre Millon was able to pass on his knowledge to the participants.
Patrice Léger, 6th dan, technical director of the Roman Dojo, also participated in this event and expressed his satisfaction at seeing “a significant number of clubs and judokas gathered in the magnificent Ponot dojo”. In Romans, one of his foals, Hugo Métifiot, after his first national title, obtained in less than 90 kg, this year, is embarking on qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Following this departmental operation, a reception bringing together teachers, supervisors, and club members took place. The president of the Le Puy community martial arts, Pierre Aulagnier, expressed, on this occasion, his joy at having hosted this highlight of the season and welcomed the quality of Jean-Pierre Millon’s performance.
